Your Backerkit Survey

Hi Everyone! Thank you everyone for responding so quickly and filling out your Backerkit surveys! I hope today's update will help clarify some confusion that we've been experiencing and please keep your questions and issues coming so we can identify them and reach out to support to keep moving forward.

Below are a few items that we are aware of, and wanted to confirm and hope this helps to answer a few questions you may have. 

1. Mobile📱 vs PC 🖥️: We heard that the mobile interface is not the same as desktop, so if you're experiencing any issues filling out your survey or add-ons please let us know if you're in mobile view or PC! I'll make sure to communicate the issues with Backerkit and this information will come in handy!

2. Overview of Kickstarter Pledges and Backerkit Add-ons: 

Notice there are 4 tabs in Backerkit (see example below): 1. Questions, 2. Add-ons, 3. Shipping and 4. Confirm

❗ When you open your Backerkit survey, your initial Kickstarter reward tier is ALREADY in your shopping cart 🛒.

🔻 If your pledge amount = your reward tier, then you can SKIP the add-ons page (click next) and move forward to confirm your shipping address. Notice, the 💛 yellow arrows section (example below). Since your reward is already in your shopping cart, your Balance should equal $0.00.

🔻 If your pledge amount = your reward tier + add-ons then please confirm the add-ons you'd like to add in this screen below. Your initial reward is already in your shopping cart. You can check which items and quantities you've added to your card in the 🍎 red section below (see example).  AND your balance should equal $0.00 once the add-ons and quantities are confirmed.

🔻 If you want to add MORE add-ons than what you initially pledged for, you have the option to add them on this add-ons page below. You will be asked to enter your payment information for the additional items.

I hope this update helps clarify a few things.... Since we're still learning how to use Backerkit, your feedback is important to us! We want to make this step as smooth as possible for you.

Surveys from Backerkit are in your inbox!

Please click on your unique survey link when you have a chance. The sooner we have the complete list of reward tiers and add-ons, the sooner we can move our production along and get the ball rolling!

A few key points I’d like to mention:

•  Backerkit - what is this? We are using an app called backerkit to help us organize your rewards, add-ons and shipping addresses. This helps us save some time and hopefully fulfill your orders smoothly and without errors!
   
•  Your rewards and add-ons 🌸  Kickstarter has already collected your initial pledge amounts and notified me of which reward tier you picked. What I don’t know yet is if you pledged extra for an add-on, and which add-on(s) you want us to send along with your reward! Backerkit will help confirm this information!
   
•  What if I’ve overpaid or underpaid? 💲 If you overpaid for any reason, you should see an option to request a refund for the difference, or use it towards an add-on if you wish :) If you’ve underpaid, or decide you’d like to add additional items to your reward, you can do that too! Backerkit will ask for your payment information if you’re adding additional funds above your initial pledge amount.
   
•  Are the Roll Cakes and 🍓 Strawberry Mochis available at the Kickstarter exclusive price? YES! When you receive your survey, please look for the $5 Roll Cake and $3 Mochi add-on options. Available exclusively for Kickstarter backers only.
   
•  I can’t find my survey! If you’re not able to find your survey, please check the following email addresses:
    Kickstarter email address
    Facebook email address
    Junk mail folder in both accounts

•  When will my toys ship? 🎁 Our ETA is May! We’ve started with purchasing our fabrics and will be moving along here shortly with production. I also have a little thank you “gift” for you that I’ve been designing and can’t wait to send them to you too!
   

Once our toys are made, Matt and I will inspect them (we personally inspect, package, and ship each order ourselves!) and this step does take a bit of time. I’ll keep everyone updated as we move forward and get closer to fulfillment 🎉

If you have ANY questions, or notice errors in the Backerkit survey - will you please reach out to us and let us know?  We want to make this experience smooth and simple. If the surveys are confusing or you have any issues, we will do our best to make improvements ASAP!

Hi friends!

Thank you all for making our project a reality! A few things need to happen before we can kick off production and fulfillment.

Here's a quick rundown:

First, Kickstarter needs to transfer over the funds so we have the money to make the rewards (this can take up to two weeks).

Second, we need to send you your surveys so you can tell us which rewards and add-ons you pledged for, and where we need to ship them. We’ll send out a BackerKit survey to collect this information.

What's Backerkit? 

BackerKit is crowdfunding fulfillment software, which is just a fancy way of saying it's a software tool that helps helps us save lots of time by making it easy to process your rewards from Kickstarter.

We’ll give you a heads-up before we send the survey so that you can watch for it. You DO NOT need to create a BackerKit account to answer your survey. The invitation email contains a link to your personal survey. Please complete the surveys as quickly as you can - this will help us make sure we create the right number of each product in time!

If you need to change your survey responses, purchase add-on items, or update your shipping information, you can click the link in your survey email again or request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page. (This page will only start working after we send the surveys out.)

Where is my survey?

We haven't sent it yet! A message will be sent in 2 weeks to the email you have associated with your Kickstarter account, the same email where you receive these updates. ** If you log in to Kickstarter via Facebook, it will be sent to the primary email address used in your Facebook account**

Pre-Ordering

For those of you that missed out on our Kickstarter campaign, good news. BackerKit is also hosting a Pre-Order Store. Unfortunately some of our rewards were Kickstarter exclusive deals but you can still be one of the first to spoil your kitties with the new Wagashi toys 😻 Pre-orders will also ship in May.

WE DID IT!!

It gives me great pleasure to announce that we have reached our $12K stretch goal!! This means we all get a FREE Berry Cone kicker toy to your Wagashi set! Thank you to our 350+ backers for being a part of this exciting announcement :)

When we first launched on December 4th we wondered if we would even reach our initial $3K goal…..and at the time reaching $12K+ wasn’t even something we thought was a possibility. Matt and I are thrilled and humbled to have received soooo much support (and we still have 12 hours left to go!).

Thank you for believing in us and for all of your help in sharing about our campaign with your friends, family and social media followers! With your help in the success of this campaign, we are able to move forward with the production process and launch not just our initial four toys, but EIGHT new Wagashi-themed toys in 2020! You will be the first to receive the new toy set and we will, of course, keep you updated as things progress between now and May. 

NEXT STEPS  

Please keep your eyes out for a survey from us. We will have a very simple survey to confirm your shipping address, and the rewards, add-ons and quantities you pledged for. (More information below)

Hi everyone! 👋

I hope you all are enjoying the holidays with your furriends and family :) And to all of our newest backers, welcome! Thank you for joining our Wagashi campaign 💮

Matt and I are traveling and visiting family in NJ and Virginia this week and have limited access to emails and the internet but we're still checking in as often as we can 😸

Since we are soooooo close to our $10K stretch goal and only 4 days left to go, we decided to unlock the Strawberry Mochi set early! 

 The mochi toys are available for $10 (set of 2) or as a $3 add-on item to an existing reward tier. Please check our newest update to our list of add-on items below!

What do I do next?

If you already pledged for an existing reward and would like to add the strawberry mochi toys to your set, all you need to do is increase your pledge amount by $3. Please make sure your pledge amount totals your reward tier plus any add-on items, plus the shipping. (US = Free shipping, Canada = $10 flat rate shipping, Anywhere else = $18 flat rate shipping).  

You can add multiple add-ons to your reward tier if you're interested in more than one :)

At the end of our campaign, I will send a survey asking for you to confirm which rewards and add-on items you had pledged for. Please double check to make sure your pledge amount adds up to the correct total :) If you have any questions at all please ask!

Special announcement $12K Stretch Goal

The $12K reward will be a FREE Berry Ice Cream Cone for everyone if we can reach our final stretch goal before the end of the year.
